Competition winner Pat gets Gok’d… by Gok Wan

WHEN glasses wearer and ambulance service allocator Pat Pugsley was woken up to a phone call saying she’d won a specs-styling session with fashion guru Gok Wan, she couldn’t believe her luck.

But when she woke up a second time, having fallen back to sleep, she thought the whole thing had been a dream.

She says: “I’d worked the night before so was fast asleep when they called me.

“When they told me I’d won the Echo competition I was thrilled, if a little dazed and confused, but once the phone call ended I went back to bed.

“Waking up a few hours later, I wasn’t sure whether I’d dreamt the whole thing. It was very surreal.”

Fifty-six-year-old Pat from Talbot Green met up with Gok at Cardiff’s Kuku Club last Monday to claim her prize.

Choosing from 13 new styles which he’s recently added to his popular GW by Gok Wan range for Specsavers, the TV star picked out a pair which he thought were best suited to Pat’s face shape, appearance and personality.
